Transient Limiters

Transient Limiters

Conducted emissions measurements use line impedance stabilization network (LISN) to collect input that is connected live and to the neutral line of the LISN. The LISN blocks the supply voltage from LISN RF port permitting the RF signal to pass through so that it can be measured. Any short transients, a few microseconds or less, the power supply lines will also be passed through. Transient limiter shields the EMI receiver input from these short transients
